Shahab-3 is a medium-range ballistic missile developed by Iran and based on Scud-C. It has a range of 1150 km; which is enough to target territories occupied by Israel and fulfill the long-awaited dream of the martyr general Tehrani Moghaddam.
The Shahab 3 has an inertial guidance system and is the first Iranian medium-range ballistic missile.
The first type of this missile is Shahab-3A with a range of 1300 km. The next type is Shahab-3B which has a heavier warhead and is capable of hitting targets at a distance of 2,000 km. The last type is Shahab-3D with a range of 2200-3000 km which can completely cover the occupied territories.
